Merry Christmas

If we allow it, Christmas slows down the world around us.

During this season of obligations and the ever-present demand for “what’s next,” it offers us a moment to pause, breathe, and reflect upon where we’ve been and who we’ve become in the last year.

Christmas is not simply about the lights, food, or traditions; these are great and I enjoy them; it is a time to reflect. A time to realize that not all progress can be made by working harder, sometimes we can recognize what we have through grounding ourselves and being present. The past year has been full of both great challenges, lessons learned, and turns of events not expected. I have been tested when I had to exercise patience. I have had to summon courage at different times.

There have also been moments of unexpected gratitude. Throughout all the highs and lows of this year I have been reminded that growth doesn’t come in the loudest of forms; it happens in small increments, one decision at a time, one day at a time.

I hope that you find warmth, clarity, and re-energizing purposes in this time of the year for the future.

Merry Christmas!

As always, best wishes,

Alexander FitzJames
